Whether you're a Workerette juggling a job outside the home, an at-home mom, a work-at-home mom or all of the above *yikes!*, you've probably wondered if a slow cooker would be useful for you. I'm personally learning that the answer is a resounding YES! Even if you aren't a mom (or perhaps, are a gramma or great-gramma), planning ahead can only be a good thing. It makes the budget a little less likely to break, the days a little more efficient, and with recipes like the ones these ladies are sharing, it can make dinner
Since the countdown has begun to Super Bowl 42, a lot of folks are gearing up for the fun. (It's going to be February 3rd in Arizon, in case you didn't know. heh heh) I thought I'd share a tasty little something that is perfect for carrying along or indulging in at home: Italian-style meatballs done up just right.
Here's the recipe:
What You Need:
- 4 lb frozen Italian-style meatballs
- 1 - 8 oz can of tomato sauce
- 1 C ketchup
- 1 C apple jelly
- 1 C grape juice
What To Do:
- Combine the tomato sauce, apple jelly, grape juice and ketchup in a saucepan; cook (stirring occassionally) over medium heat until the jelly is melted. Remove from heat.
- Put meatballs in a 5-quart slow cooker.
- Pour sauce over the meatballs and stir to coat them.
- Cover and cook on the low setting for 4 hours (or until heated through).
- Serve with cubed cheese, crackers...mmmm!

I have not seen this version with the apple jelly and grape juice. Thanks for sharing.
