Is it just me or has 2008 started out just as busy and hectic as 2007 ended? Hmm, maybe it's just me. *chuckle* Or maybe it just felt like turning to a new page on the calendar should have added hours to the day....
Either way, if you're as busy as I am, you'll enjoy the little ideas, resources, and pathways that pop up from time to time and take just minutes to checkout. Here are some new tips and tidbits for you to enjoy this week:
- Share a tip for maintaining a healthier, clean home and you could win a trip to Hersheypark. Go to TipsHealthyHome.com to enter.
- Real Simple magazine is looking for "a group of influential women" to offer their opinions to Real Simple and its advertisers. Go to SolutionSeekers.com to learn more.
- A recall was announced for the Fisher-Price Geo Trax Locomotive and It's a Big, Big World Bongo Band Toys. Call 888-496-8330 or go to the Mattel site to see which toys are affected and to receive a replacement if you own one of the included items.
- Most of us don't think about it when we have our kids use gel hand sanitizers, but if a child ingests a large amount of the gel it can be poisonous. (An ounce of alcohol-based gel is the equivalent of two shots of hard liquor, according to a spot in the December 2007 issue of Parents.) Call Poison Control at 800-222-1222 if your child does down the gel; don't fret if they just lick a bit off their hands though. All they'll get from that is a really nasty taste.

- Woman entrepreneur Lisa Barthuly (owner of Homestead Originals) has announced she's up and blogging! Go visit her new blog and welcome her to the blogosphere.
